Doug has served various roles over a 17 year span in volunteer positions with The National Association of The Remodeling Industry (NARI).  He served on the National Board of Directors from 2017 – 2022 and served as the National President of NARI in 2020-2021.

He served on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of NARI-Tampa Bay for 8 years where he served as Chairman of the Board in 2012 and 2017 and was President in 2011 and 2016.  He won Remodeler of the Year in 2010, 2016 and 2024. He was inducted into the NARI Tampa Bay Hall of Fame in 2019,

Doug received a President’s Choice Award from the NARI Kansas City chapter while serving as NARI National President and also received The President’s Award in 2024. 

Doug and several team members hold various NARI certifications:

• Certified Remodeler
• Universal Design Certified Professional
• Certified Remodeling Project Manager

In addition to being a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, Doug holds an MBA Degree.

King Contracting is also a member of The National Kitchen and Bath Association and The American Institute of Building Design.
